Art is my way of processing my world, of recognizing intrinsic goodness, and of transmuting or revealing the messy presence of being into a thing of beauty.

Thanks for looking.

About Me

I live in Pittsburgh where I create primarily with acrylics, pastels, charcoal, and pen. I have created for as long as I can remember and I love big bold color, texture, and the feeling of materials in my hands.

I draw and paint the world around me. My subjects most often come from my own life. They demand my attention and provide me with a way of making beauty of — or recognizing beauty in — both the best and the hardest things.

When I’m not making art, I work in transportation and urban planning.
